Protection Program Management

The purpose of the DOE protection program is to ensure that DOE security interests, facilities, employees, contractors, and the public are provided the appropriate degree of protection from potential hostile acts. How the protection program and program elements are managed to achieve this purpose is the essence of protection program management (PPM). PPM is an interative process in which activities relating to planning, staffing, budget, direction and feed-back are conducted continuously.
